Richard Wagner
The film from 1913 on the occasion of the hundredth birthday of the "great master" presents for the first time a comprehensive portrait of the composer. Due to copyright protection, Richard Wagner's original compositions could not be used for the music. Giuseppe Becce, who, thanks to his physical resemblance, plays the role of the composer himself, proposed to compose a score that follows the work of Richard Wagner, but at the same time is sufficiently different from him that no legal consequences can be feared.
